The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) represents an initiative by the federal government to dismantle financial obstacles hindering access to oral health care. This program is designed to extend coverage for dental expenses to Canadian residents lacking dental benefits.
CDCP is now open to all ages. For more information on how to apply click here.
If you are currently covered under the CDCP, you will need to renew your coverage starting June 1, 2026 in order to maintain coverage from 2026 and into 2027.

Amazing dental care by the nicest team around. All the staff are exceptional, we used to go to the St Catharines location however when we moved to the Ridgeway area, we didn't have to find a new dentist. They may be new to the area but not to the business. If you're looking for a fantastic dentist, this is the place.

I have been a patient of Smith family Dentisry for over 25 years. Through those years, I attended appointments in their St. Catharines location, I live in Fort Erie. When you find someone good you stick with them. All of my children were also patients, two still are. My eldest used to tell everyone that they were the no hurt dentists. LOL They now have branched out to Ridgeway, I was there today to see Dr. Dan Izzo. I must say I was very pleased. Not only did I not have to drive as far, but the care given during my procedure was excellent, as always, and yes, they are still the no hurt Dentists.

I’ve tried a few different dentists over the years, and Smith Family Dentistry is by far a cut above the rest. Allie, one of the kindest and most fun hygienists I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, introduced me to other members of the team, and everyone went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
Their pricing is flexible and affordable, which was a huge plus for me. During my initial consultation, I mentioned some dental glue that had been left on my teeth for years. They took the time to address it, and when the orthodontist worked alongside Allie, they were even able to combine the cost of removing it with my cleaning without additional charge.
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever left a dentist feeling this good or smiling this big and proudly. The entire team made what could have been an uncomfortable experience genuinely enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend Smith Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a dental office where you’re treated like a person rather than just another appointment. Fantastic team!

I switched dentists and that can be nerve racking due to not knowing what they will say or do but I have to say, I have never been more informed over my teeth in the years I been going to the dentist. They made sure to explain what they were doing, explained my X-rays to me and gave me pointers. Really impressed with them. So very welcoming from booking my appointment, showing up to the minute you walk out that door. Couldn’t be more happy!!

She took the time to ask all the right questions to understand my needs, answered each of my queries respectfully and kindly, and efficiently set me up with an appointment for the very next day. Excellent customer service like this is hard to come by.

I had an amazing experience on my first appointment, excellent customer service. As soon as I booked my appointment, I received a link to complete my personal information and health history so I didn't have to get everything in writing when I got there. I was very pleased with the service I received from all the team members who helped me, in addition to the reception I was attended to by 4 different professionals and they were all very receptive and knowledgeable.
