Jill - Dental Hygienist
Jill graduated from Niagara College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2007 and has been a valued member of the Smith Family Dentistry team ever since. With nearly two decades of experience, Jill is passionate about providing exceptional dental care and building lasting relationships with her patients. She truly loves what she does and takes pride in helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Her friendly personality, dedication, and genuine care for her patients make her an important part of the SFD family.
Taylor - Dental Hygienist
Orthodontic Hygienist
My name is Taylor I’ve been working at Smith Family Dentistry since 2009 and I graduated Dental Hygiene from Fanshawe College in 2006! Outside of the office, I’m a busy mom who loves spending time with my husband, Jason, and our two daughters, Presley and Cameron. Much of our family time revolves around sports, especially volleyball and basketball, and I love cheering the girls on from the sidelines and supporting them in everything they do. When I’m not at the dental office or at a sporting event, I enjoy spending time outdoors, making memories with family and friends, and of course, enjoying time with our beloved miniature poodle, Rusty. I feel very fortunate to have a career I’m passionate about while also being able to enjoy a fun, active family life outside of work.
Allie - Dental Hygienist
Special Needs Focused
Allie is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care. She values building genuine relationships with her patients and strives to create a welcoming, patient, and judgement free environment. Allie has a particular interest in caring for children and adults with disabilities, as well as helping patients with dental anxiety feel more comfortable and at ease during their visits.
Outside of the office, Allie loves travelling, road tripping and playing hockey and beach volleyball. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with the people she loves including
her husband Derek , her family and friends, and their family dog, Hank.
Mira - Dental Hygienist
Mira is a Registered Dental Hygienist and a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in 1994. Mira is passionate about providing gentle, compassionate, patient-centered care, with a strong focus on patient comfort and creating a calm, welcoming environment. She strives to ensure each patient feels heard, at ease, well-informed, and confident in their oral health.
Mira joined Smith Family Dentistry in 2021 and values being part of a team dedicated to positive, reassuring dental experiences. Outside of the office, Mira enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and exploring new places, and giving back to the community. She values personal growth and the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those around her.
Emily - Dental Hygienist
Emily is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Niagara College and has been part of our team since 2023. Starting her career here after graduation, she has enjoyed building relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable during their visits. She takes pride in providing thorough care and making oral health education feel approachable and easy to understand. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active with her dog, Rubble.
Marissa - Dental Hygienist
Marissa graduated from Niagara Colleges Dental Hygiene program in 2024 and was fortunate enough to begin her career at Smith Family Dentistry shortly after. Smith Family Dentistry has always been a special place to her, as she has been a lifelong patient here. It feels extra meaningful to her to be part of the team and care for patients in the same office where she grew up receiving care. She loves getting to know her patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. Building relationships with patients is one of her favourite parts of being a dental hygienist. Outside of work Marissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends including her two dogs Cooper and Barry.
